My grandfather collected stars. He would sit for hours
studying the constellations through his telescope and only when he found the
perfect one would he reach up with his great arms, pluck it from the heavens
and place it gently in the hand carved oak box that he made for my
grandmother’s keepsakes. When I miss him I open the box and watch my
grandfather’s stars twinkle up at me.
